Gotham had been at war for years over the presence of the Batman. Speculations of where he had come from, who he was, and how he got to Gotham in the first place plagued civilians and villains alike. Perhaps they were lucky, like Metropolis, to have someone dedicated just to them, to take care of them, and ensure their safety. Maybe, in the after affects of the chemical attack on a neighbouring city called Blüdhaven, a new hero was spawned. The stories were endless, but only Bruce Wayne had the real answers. There had always been unrest in Gotham, even with the Batman, some arguing that he was a vigilante, sick and tired of being bullied by those lurking in the shadows of Gotham, others pegging him a masked menace.
Harvey Dent, meanwhile, the youngest man ever in Gotham to run for District Attorney at the tender age of twenty five is the new face of rescue and hope. A man not afraid to show his face and not hide behind a mask, one that thinks that Batman could be the best way to catch the kind of villains Harvey can’t understand. But he’s also interested in having the Batman, to take him into custody and charge him, and show Gotham who he really is. Give them their masked menace, even though he believed in the Bat’s vigilantism.
It’s really too bad that the citizens of Gotham seem to have sided with all the villains, all wanting to capture the Batman and know who this caped crusader is once and for all, but some, like Commissoner James Gorden still believe in the Bat. Some, like him, notice that Batman hasn’t been around much lately. Letting Harvey Dent do all the work that he couldn’t possibly do alone. Has Batman been killed, or is he quietly sitting back, waiting for Gotham to fall into disarray until he comes to save them? What if Batman decides, Gotham has had enough saving, and it was time for the city to fight alone with their White Knight, against menacing forces they never thought imaginable?

In the year 2008 at Ravenhurst University located in the Malvern, a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, strange things have been happening. People have been reported disappearing, and several lives have been lost already. But people keep going about their normal routine, not thinking they would be next. It keeps happening. Friends, lovers, family...The disappearances keep happening, the number of murders rising, unusual for such a small college town.

At the Zener School, students are taught to understand and control their abilities, in a safe and comfortable school environment.
Project: Stargate was a government project to test the possibility of psychic abilities. In 1995 the project was terminated - or so the government and the public think. As the new graduates of Hogwarts head out into the real world, they encounter stricter laws while using magic, challenging situations in internships and apprenticeships, and even more bends and breaks along the road of reconstruction. In this post bellum society, shifts in government, jobs and societal reorganization are expected. But will the unexpected make the world go round or will it make the world stand still?
